She was born on October 7, 1967, in Severn, Maryland, United States, as Toni Michele Braxton. To parents, a father named Michael Conrad Braxton Sr., a Methodist clergyman and power company employee. A mother named Evelyn Jackson, a citizen of South Carolina, a retired opera singer, cosmetologist, and pastor. Trina Braxton, Traci Braxton, Tamar Braxton, and Towanda Braxton are her four sisters, while Michael Conrad Braxton Jr. is her only brother.
